I would be happy to see Kompany at centre back as he is our best CB in the squad. But with our lack of quality mids I don't see it happening. At least Alex is physical and would challenge at attacking corners, richards and dunne haven't looked a threat at corners for along time!!!

well lets be honest. at present the one thing we have in our favour is money. so to make a deliberate stand not to pay over the odds is slightly daft as if we refuse to stump up the cash someone else will and we'll be left with no one. so maybe we should accept that players will be more expensive for us and sign them as money isn't an issue for us

thats right if you want a big player to join a samll team im afraid we gotta pay em for it.
