Back when talkSPORT was good, Wright used to do the Drive Time show with Adrian Durham when we were taken over by the Sheikh.

There were Arsenal, Everton and Villa fans ringing up moaning about it and Wright was telling them all to shut up and stop being bitter.

I don’t know what changed with him. But he’s turned into an idiot with us,

Then after the Great War, it was decided that the First Division was to be expanded for the 1919-20 season. The Top 2 (Derby and Preston) from the 1914-15 Second Division were set to be promoted. But it wasn’t the 3rd nor 4th placed teams who joined them; it was 5th placed Arsenal.

The Chariman of the Football League back then was Liverpool owner, John McKenna. He had the deciding vote on getting Arsenal promoted. With the dodgy game with United, you only have to wonder how dodgy it was that he decided to promote Arsenal. Then consider how Arsenal were found guilty of numerous financial misdemeanours over the next decade, which eventuated in the Arsenal owners, Henry Norris and William Hall, being banned from football for life.

While there’s no solid proof that bribes were paid by the Arsenal Chairs for the 1919 promotion, you only have to consider how dodgy Liverpool and McKenna were and how dodgy Arsenal and Norris+Hall were to draw your own conclusions.

They may never have become anything without that dodgy promotion. Before 1919, Arsenal had never won the First Division title and they’d never got to an FA Cup final, never mind won it.

Then, after they got bank loans to build a new stadium (organic? hmm!), and being in the top flight, that allowed them to push on to become a top side by the 1930s.

Every trophy Arsenal have ever won has been undeserved.

His hateful views poison people against the club. I won’t take them. In fact I am disgusted by them.

Ignorance is no excuse for stupidity and bias views across a media channel. They have all had a go. Neville when city ruined his rag team, Carragher when city again ruin his dip team and now wright because city have attempted despite the teams issues mounted a challenge of sorts and he couldn’t handle the pressure. Now we have dropped points out comes the hate.

He should be ashamed of himself. He won’t be but he should be.

Yep. Baffles me, too. Players can be just as biased as supporters, so Wright was always going to side with his former club in any debate. But anyway, their views about us are irrelevant: do you honestly think the Sheik and his advisors spend sleepless nights worrying about the fact that some no-mark **** like ginger pig Scholes doesn't like City much?
Do you think Pep goes running home crying because Ratboy made some nasty comments about us? No. Of course not. Fuck 'em: we are arguably the best-run club in the Premier League. We have the best owners any club could wish for, the very best manager any club could have, and a loyal fanbase that stayed with us when we hit the lowest of the lows. We've had the pleasure of seeing Kev, Aguero, David, Bernie, YaYa, and all the others pull on the shirt and go out and create magic on the pitch for us, something other clubs will never have.
