Ibrahimovic retires age 41

A man who built his career by leaching off the successes of superior players despite having a fraction of the talent or work ethic. Got found out when surrounded by players more his level when he went to the rags. Scored a couple of decent goals a season by swinging his telescopic legs about and thought that gave him the right to do fuck all else.

In his later years decided to focus his career on convincing 13 year olds that he’s “epic” so they spend £20 buying him for their FIFA team.

Not a serious person.

Lucky he played for the Rags and was protected from the many red cards he should have received.

From Twitter:
As Zlatan Ibrahimovic retires from football at the age of 41, tributes pour in from his biggest fans, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

I watched a documentary he did a few years ago and it showed the other side of him. I didn't realise what he had been through as a child and how much it shaped him and still effects him he more or less admitted that a lot of the public persona is a front. I remember the one story of how his father was a drunk and would spend all the money on alcohol so the family had no food and would go hungry and to this day he has to have a full fridge of food no matter where he is living. Not saying he's likeable but it was interesting that no matter how rich he is he still had a fear of being poor I got the impression that a lot of the baggage he carries drives him.

A documentary that made him looked good - well I never - did it have poignant music too?
100% an arrogant c#nt - no mitigating excuses.

Heresy! Don’t you know objective views are not welcome! The Daily Mail mob will be along soon to put you straight!

If being arrogant and being the villain got him out of the situation he was in then good for him. I don't think he's the sort of person who really cares if he's liked I wouldn't be surprised if it has fuelled him all his career.

I don't remember any poignant music ;)

I don’t actually mind him that much.

A good goal scorer, you don’t score nearly 600 professional goals if you don’t have something about you, and I get the impression he’s built the persona that follows him around without meaning it too much.

He could act a ****, and wouldn’t have blamed Nedum for landing one on him, but football’s been more interesting for having him around.

I disagree with his view on Pep, but he’s obviously going to deflect and act bitterly.
