Ibrahimovic retires age 41

Absolute grade 1 wanker, who'd start a row in an empty phone box. But that was some goal, up there with Bale's against the dippers in my opinion.

As Henning Wehn said at the time, the greatest goal ever scored will never be scored in a friendly. It's one up from showing a great goal someone scored in training.

Thought he had retired years ago. Created his own hype which gained credit with the media here after his goal from Hart's cock up in that friendly with Sweden.

An absolute prick

My youngest child worked for the LA Galaxy in public relations. He is a City kid from birth. He was assigned when Ibra went there to be his media handler. My son, who sometimes was in his presence 15 hours st a time, said his jerkoff character is just an act. Says in person that the guy is gracious, polite and extremely generous to those who are close to him.
They developed a strong friendship, on one of his final days before leaving LA he took my son to dinner and gave him a bag with my son's yearly salary in it in cash. Upon leaving for the night my son, who had never opened the bag told Ibra thanks for everything, but regardless of what is in the bag, "you'll always be one of them, to me."
They remain good friends to this day.

I can still see the forearm smash he gave Otamendi at OT, in the derby back in 2017, I think it was. He should have had a red card for that. The fact that Otamendi got the winner was bittersweet didn’t take the fact away it was a dirty, snide thing to do by Ibrahimovic.

I’m not sure the ‘he was shit and overated ‘ argument works here.

‘He is regarded as one of the greatest strikers of all time and is one of the most decorated footballers in the world, having won 34 trophies in his career. He has scored over 570 career goals , including more than 500 club goals, and has scored in each of the last four decades.
Ibrahimovic has won a trophy every season of his career since 2001, he has won the league 13 out of the 15 season he has played, he has won the league in 4 different countries ’

I would copy/paste his individual honours - but it’s just to long.

Personal view on the guy aside, there’s no denying he is a football legend.
Been shit for a long time. Great striker in his day, but his day was in a poor Serie A, the Eredivisie and France, with disappointing spells in the Spanish and English Premier Leagues punctuating it.
