Going down the motorway today and was under attack from high sided vehicles with huge chunks of ice cascading from the tops. If they were shedding bricks they would be liable but does the same apply to chunks of ice? Do they have an obligation to remove the ice before setting off or do we have to accept it as an act of God?

I feel a claim coming on...

Think you're being a bit harsh.
They have to do something to keep the decomposing corpses of murdered prostitutes stacked up in the back of the cab from going off

Could have been Eskimo illegal immigrants being smuggled into the country.

All vehicles should be free of snow and ice before setting off, if you have a foot of snow on your car then you can get pulled for it.
Yep they are liable and should remove the ice
But trying to prove it would be difficult
