yeah that's what i meant! but we also have midweek games for all the weeks inbetween! we have blackburn on the mon night but i don't think we could then play a game on the wed as well - that would be a tad unfair!

if it is called off, i'm sure the game will be played a week on wednesday/thursday, not giving us much time at all

however, its not that bad in newcastle, quite a bit of snow, but would be easily cleared, so if they got the place gritted before last night, then we should be fine

Just come over the hills from East Yorkshire. Caught the western edge of the snow but getting on the M62 nothing. Might be clear upto the M62/A1 turn, but after that, dunno!

my friend drove back from newcastle to manchester today, said he had a clear run with no hold ups, so unless there are some accidents, travelling up tomorrow should be fine

been here since yesterday and been a number of snow showers but nothing too heavy, but sticking.

It's freezing though so make sure you put your thermals on or several layers!

anybody remember newcastle;third or 4th round of the fa cup;about 76or77.
Yes I remember that. 3rd round I think.

Was that the game when there was a load of trouble and the crowd came on the pitch from the Gallowgate End and got in with the City fans? We also weren't sure whether the game was going to go ahead because of the weather.

I remember the police formed a line across the pitch and some looney came racing out the Leazes, raced down the pitch and jumped on a copper. I think he thought there were hundreds behind him but he was on his own and he got a good kicking for that.

Think we won 2-0 that day so a good omen.

remember the lad running on from leazer end;-got to the halfway line ;then got jumped on.-coppers letting geordie beer monstors in our paddock;frm the gallowgate like you said.-score was 3-1or3-0;royal and maybe kiddo.

:P It´s amazing here in Gran Canaria. You can go to the beach pretty much every single day of the year and plenty of tanned chicks in miniskirts. HA!

Anyone remember this?

It was Jan 29th 1977 so was the 4th round. We won 3-1 with goals from Joe Royle & Gary Owen, plus an OG from Tommy Craig.

The 5th round was the game at Leeds where Joe Corrigan made his wonder save but we still lost 1-0.
