I love Kompany. He's been for me our best player this season. However it is very easy for him to issue this kind of support to other players cos he knows that he's by far an away the most consistant performer.

When he made the switch to us it was in the summer of the takeover and he fitted in straight away.

The problem is with many players at our club is that very few of them have the desire to work their arses off for the shirt in the same way Vinny, Nige, Zaba and Tevez do. They seem keen to fall back on the excuse that its a new league, culture etc etc.

If Dzeko, Toure, Balo to name a few could been seen working their arses off rather than just pottering around looking lazy then they wouldn't get half the stick that they do

Sorry I don't buy it. If you're a good player it won't take time to adjust to a new team. Look at Suarez. The question is that the panic buying in January based on youtube extracts is not a good way of judging that a player is good enough. Good players from Dutch or Spanish leagues are the best to go for. Italian and Bundesliga are rubbish and any average player looks too good.
