Ideas for making football more exciting like it used to be

Cheaper tickets, safe standing, no VAR, alcohol allowed in stands, neutral areas/stands for tourists. Bingo.

Neutral areas at Wembley have always been an atmosphere killer. Half of them don't come back after half time. I liked the idea of safe standing, but when I took my lad to a game and soon realised that he couldn't see a thing, so he had to stand on a seat with me holding onto him for the entire game which was pretty shite all round.

One suggestion would be to do away with the loud music and stadium announcers, all they do it stifle the crowd, and some people wait for their song cues before they will join in. The Atmosphere was much better when it was left up to the fans. Don't need some bloke on a microphone shouting "Oh Kevin De Bruyne.."

It all feels very manufactured and not very authentic.

Fuck me, this thread is one massive FOC circle jerk. Full of posts wanting time to be turned back.
"Exciting like it used to be"? Excuse me, what, pardon?
Football is more exciting than its ever been. I was there when it was a bunch of boozed up weezers.
I've waited all my life to have City in the position we are currently in, I ain't changing shit.
Well, maybe get free kicks around the box taken quicker. It's a fuckin joke how long it all takes for, more often than not, a ball to be kicked into row X.
