Would it not be more fun to go back to two points for a win, but no points for a draw, and a point lost for a defeat?

Get rid of VAR.

Let the ref, for all their faults, make the decisions.

Make shirt pulling a foul like it used to be, same as wresting defenders to the ground in dead ball situations.

Just thinking out loud, and I didn’t even mention banning Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher from the media.

Any other ideas?

That was only one of my points, and I don’t necessarily think it would be a good idea, just want to hear some new ideas.
They could go down the bonus point route of an extra point for 5 goals scored etc.

I think the romance in sport is eroded by ever increasing professionalism, analysis and coaching. I’m not sure it’ll ever come back either.

Referees sticking to the 6 second rule - including the time goalkeeper's take after catching the ball and dropping to the ground for ages as the seconds tick away.
Beyond 6 seconds it’s a corner.
Same with a throw in. 6 seconds and if not taken the other team take it.
And ten seconds maximum for a goal kick, otherwise it's a corner. Not that a corner would help City.
Actually, I'd go for the ball being in play for 60 minutes, but still punish time-wasting as it breaks up play.
And I'd ban coaches from talking to players during breaks in play. Yes you Arteta with your fake injuries.
And exit gates locked until 85 minutes.
And ban half 'n' half scarves.
And ban off-site hospitality to force clubs to sell to fans rather than touting agencies.
