IDF Soldiers Testimonies - Breaking The Silence

Breaking the Silence is an organization of veteran combatants who have served in the Israeli military since the start of the Second Intifada and have taken it upon themselves to expose the Israeli public to the reality of everyday life in the Occupied Territories.

They have just published a collection of testimonies from soldiers who served during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza last year. Breaking The Silence has collected testimony from over a hundred serving IDF soldiers up to senior officer rank. The testimonies make exceptionally grim reading, and highlight clear evidence of a "shoot on sight" policy that contributed to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
