If, by the grace of God...

Is it seriously being suggested that Micah, who scored one himself and won the penalty that made the game safe, shouldn't have played on Saturday?

No just that he should have started tonight.

zabba wasnt bad tonight, kolorov was awful. not knockin the lad, or blaming him for our loss, but it maybe it would of been better to play our better full backs for this game as it was so important. i know people say premier league is our primary target, but there should have been no question over who played at left full back tonight.

im gonna edit this actually becaus eit sounds like im laying into him. it was overall, a bad team performance. we bottled it when we needed a performance most. quite surprised barry didnt start to be honest though

Well unless we rest him against the scourges, which would be folly when he's the best right back in England, we had to rest him tonight. If we ask him to play three high intensity games in his position we are just asking for him to come down with an injury

We could (should) have played AK and Zab against the Geordies, then play Gael and Micah tonight and next sunday before reverting to tonight's pairing at the Emirates next week.
hindsight is wonderful.

Not really hindsight because most people would have said the same before the game.If he had to rest them Newcastle was the obvious game to do so.They had just had 2 weeks off though so does anybody really think Clichy would not have covered more ground and not got back quicker than Kolorov tonight.Oh and talking of needing a rest but playing every game Yaya anyone?
Michan and Glichy DID NOT PLAY ANY INTERNATIONAL GAMES they were rested. where kolorov and zabletea played twice.

Hopefully Villareal will shock Napoli but I doubt it..

question is will Bayern play a weaken team in two weeks time?
