If Carlsberg did owners.....

Through the lean times I kept telling my family something will happen one day, little did I know how fantastic.

Same, mate.

Although I used to tell anybody that would listen as well........including myself 100's of times :)

It has always been a privilege to be one of God's chosen ones, now it's a pleasure as well, and it's down to the hard work of hundreds behind the scenes but the vision of one man.

Thank you Sheikh Mansour.

Sheikh Mansour can do whatever he likes can't thank him enough for what he's done for our club.

"so we've exciting plans for the new season.... We'll have to cut our cloth accordingly as you know, even if we're now back in the First Division, but we've signed, as you know, Alphonse Achingdick, a brilliant, multi-talented midfielder from FC Nobody - big clubs were after him you know; and I've told the manager that if he needs anybody else... Paul Stewart for example, he's to go out and sign him... However the manager, who has the full confidence and backing of the board by the way, has told me he's happy with the squad and to put the chequebook away".

I can hear his dulcet, Mancunian TV salesman tones even now.... that old shredded wheat head of his bless him....

Always had the impression he was a genuine fan though and went after the Rags big style! Probably the "Fosters" version - good on a sunny day with a BBQ but one you move away from as you grow up! RIP and "Thank you Sheikh Mansour"

He was at the last game I got to when we thrashed Liverpool 3-0.

I was surprised he wasn't at the QPR game when we won the Title as that seemed such a lay up. But I guess he would have ben called a glory hunter if he was there? Anyway, it's probably a good thing. He may have sold the club before the end of the game the way that went!!!

Sheikh Mansour is walking a fine line between being seen as "best owner in the world" and "not really arsed about City" on this board.
To me an owner that invest in the club while often walking around in City gear back home when he got some spare time will do me.
As for finishing a cabinet meeting early so he can jump on his private jet to catch some game, it would be sneered at by his peers..and seen a sign that he´s becoming lax in his duties.
