i think fans reactions do alter/influence a players mindset

barreth recently said in an interview before the liverpool carling cup game that the year before he had joined us he was being linked with liverpool and then it fell through.

He was due to be signed in the next window, but played at liverpool for villa in between windows, he was booed and heckled all through the game.

He specifically stated this had a bearing on why he turned liverpool down

Various City players read here, and more than a couple post on here. There aren't any that I've noticed that are prolific posters. A few former players are still on here.
