I think it was more important that we didn’t get relegated in the season when Mpenza saved us. That would have been a disaster!

I think we’d have won the league the season after as Royle was building a decent team and we’d still have moved to the CoMS in 2003.

But the timeline of what happened would have been different. We might have stayed in the Championship for a few years, stuck with Royle, never had Keegan.
