Why was everyone repeatedly singing his name yesterday??

When the rumours were flying about before the game the majority of fans I spoke to were going nuts hence the 'you can stick your Pellegrini up.....'

If we want him we should back him and continue to back him. If we don't, we should let the club do what they are going to do. If not, are we not sending out mixed messages to the Chairman, board, etc. Not that they will listen but it is very odd how Bobby is getting slated in a number of threads and yet the fans who were at the game were singing his name for 90 minutes, or is that where the answer lies?

Because they are morons. Mancini has taken us to a certain level and we are extremely grateful. But now is the time to kick on

We will achieve nothing in European football without some genuine pace and width which Mancini refuses to apply to any of his team which is why he constantly fails in Europe. It's nothing to be ashamed of

A show of loyalty from the fans ,and I'm still of the opinion he gets another season.
It is a bit of a shame he couldn't be loyal to Pantillimon though eh?

Really? All those thousands I heard singing his name in the ground, in the Green Man and on the roundabout, they're all morons? Words fail me.

Stop press : blue moon is not representative of the majority of match going fans. It is a place where polarised opinions take shape. If Mancini was not wanted then why do 40k fans sing his name each game

We have a group of very vocal outers on this site and fair play to their opinion but, we all have one and this site would be an utterly boring place if everyone agreed on everything !

I am still pretty distraught to be honest. What annoys me is the constant backing of Mancini when it's clear his tactics are coming up short time after time yet people don't seem to give a shit and are happy for him to stay regardless

The move to drop pants is just another show of his complete lack of man management skills

Your pretty distraught but thought you would call tens of thousands of city fans Morons?
You fucking utter tool...

Some people are easily satisfied. We were shit for so long and their expectations haven't risen in line with the money spent. He was the manager when we won the first trophy and then the first title in a long time so naturally many feel affection and gratitude towards him. Unfortunately it also seems to be blinding people to the obvious which is that we are going backwards at an alarming rate and that the majority of the playing squad no longer look like they have the slightest interest in playing for him. I also have a theory that some people just really like the Mancini song. After all people love singing the Toure song but you couldn't claim that many fans particularly love Kolo. Hell, people loved singing the Alan Ball song when he was our manager and most people couldn't stand him. Doesn't explain any Pellegrini songs though, I suppose.
