IF Tevez is still a City player 7 Aug.....

Off the field a fool on it magnificent not a lot more to say, i reckon if he starts next season he'll still give 100 per cent so i'd wouldn't boo no come to think of it can remember booing a City player must have though will some of the crap we've had in the past.

How can you be suprised that the majority of us, want players who WANTS to be here, Tevez dont want to play for us. For me he is just another player/employee of our belowed club! nothing more nothing less.

I obviously want players to want to be here as well, but at the same time he has been a great player for us and I'm not going to forget that just because he wants to now leave.

I didn't think he should have been captain last year but he was, and therefore he was the first captain in my lifetime to lift a major trophy. He has been respectful to us throughout and he leaves as a City legend as far as I am concerned.

i don't see any reason to boo him, he has been fantastic for the the club and wants to leave for family reason which is understandable

He might not be back from the Copa America by the 7th. He'll get a couple of weeks off after that and won't be fit for the game anyway...

But while he's a City player he gets my support. I still reckon that he'll be with us next season.

I concur. SSN said he'd been given 3 weeks off after the competition, which ends on 24th of July I think(?)

...what will his reception be from City supporters? It's clear he wants to leave & most of us on here wouldn't have a problem with him leaving provided we get a decent replacement. BUT....what if no deal can be made for him & he's still at the club for the start of the season? Will he be shown appreciation for helping to get us to where we are now or will his constant shit stirring dictate his reception once he takes the pitch?

I showed my appreciation and said my goodbyes at the FA Cup parade at the Etihad Stadium last season. To me now he's just another money grabbing cry baby who's been taking the club for a ride for the past 2 years.

I will cry if he is still here. We need to get rid ASAP.

but for opposite reasons. It means we will be guaranteed a 20 goal a season striker and possibly challenge for the title.
