If the rot continues what happens ?

Self awareness is a strength, well done sir:-)
Yeah imagine going on social media to slag off and pretend to tell what the greatest club football manager of all time needs to do after having a few beers and take in a spliff or two or even a load of white powder and you haven’t even been to Manchester or the Etihad or even travelled to to the UK or even ever been to a PL game ???? What a fucking world we live in !!!
The ones with no self awareness stand out a fucking mile just like the half and half scarf cunts at a Manchester derby it’s that fucking simple !!!!

Watch this. This is our manager and nearly all our players. We've made a few shit signings and need to rectify that over the next year or so. But this was/is our team. The suggestions of a cull is fucking ridiculous. We're in full transition now. If you cant handle it do one. Bye bye. You wont be missed.

So the board expected us to drop out of the top four as well as fall straight out of the CL in a format designed to make it almost impossible for a competent squad to get knocked out early. That what your saying. I think penny pinching has become the name of the game lately. Madrid never stop buying the best, not even when they don't need them. Its just to keep up the image were the best and we always get the best. When we came along we put the shits up em, but we have gone timid amidst all the criticism. Fuck everyone else we should be getting up Madrid's nose in the transfer market always. I think now the way forward has been made harder because we have been acting like were Aston Villa in the transfer market and not the all conquering Manchester City.

I'm not sure we ever wanted to perceived as a 'just throw money at it' club, bankrolled by a sugardaddy.
I believe we want the perception to be that, with good investment and sound management, businesses can be transformed into hugely successful operations and generate their own wealth.
I think the image Abu Dhabi wants to portray is that of sound investment and business acumen.

Unfortunately, due to FFP, City's investment was accelerated and opened the door to 'sugardaddy' accusations which we still suffer from. Little credit is given to the actual business turnaround, much of which is on the back of our footballing success.

Real Madrid have long been the behemoth of clubs. I am sure City long to reach a similar status in time, but in a genuinely sustainable manner, not purely the galacticos route.

I'd love to stick it to the traditional big boys, but I also want our growth to be genuine. Some of the stunts RM have pulled over the years make our 115 allegations in the dust.

As a general benchmark I tend to remember Akanji's late mistake at Tottenham last season and the subsequent save from Ortega

What struck me at the time was the number of posters asserting that Ederson wouldn't have saved it.

Taking that in isolation I can't think of any other team or game where the supporters have been glad that their first choice goalkeeper wasn't actually between the posts at such a critical moment
Maybe a Penalty Shootout but surely not in regular time.

It also suggests that some of this season's problems were already there (including the Akanji mistake).

However I'm just a supporter with no coaching badges and I expect Pep to get this sorted

A Dipper in work was talking to me yesterday. Said he'd watched the '4 in a row' on Netflix and that he understood the drop off this season. He reckons no one could maintain that level of intensity for another year, especially after the Treble the year before.
