If the rot continues what happens ?

This is in danger of turning into a Brian Clough situation. (It took forest almost a quarter of a century to recover) . Now I am not suggesting for one minute we're in danger of relegation, but anything other than a top four finish will seriously hamper the rebuild. Pep needs to set us up to be difficult to beat not wide open without the personal to play that way.

Think about it logically.

Many of these players are ones who have just run themselves into the ground to achieve 4 titles in a row. That’s never been done before.

Why suddenly during a bad two months would they then turn on the man who is a big part of those achievements?

The players are knackered, physically and mentally. Compounded by an injury to the best player in the world.
I actually think Pep is mentally tired. If it hadn't been for this run of form he may well not have renewed.

I think that Pep must know more than us that those kids wouldn't be able to do what he wants right now.

What happens if those kids have bad games? You've seen on here the abuse Lewis gets.
True but the senior pros can't do what he wants as they are too fucked!!

Nail on head. Great post. Probably a season of transition and then onto more silverware. That's not throwing in the towel, just trying to be calm and logical.

I don’t think he has lost the dressing room, but if he has, I’d sooner get replace all 25 than Pep.

We’ve dropped the ball on recruitment for the past 3 years and Pep’s papered over those cracks. We’ve spend far too much on bang average PL players (Grealish, Nunes, Phillips etc) who may have looked alright in mid-table teams, but have never had to play in a team full of stars or 3 games every 7 days.

Take Palmer out of Chelsea and they don’t have a single world class player. Liverpool’s got Salah, Van Dijk, Allison and maybe Trent to replace over the coming years. United’s still laughably a mess. Arsenal’s still got the strongest squad but their mentality is poor.

If we’re ruthless with our recruitment, we should be right back at the top. In 1 season, Pep took us from barely getting top 4 to unprecedented success. Give him what he needs and we’ll flourish again.
I don't think it's all the dressing room I actually think it's just a few that have proper downed tools. And yes I'd replace all before pep.
