If the rot continues what happens ?

I agree in the main, but not with Gvardiol. Watching him in that defence in the 7-0, for Leipzig, was concerning at the time when we were linked with him. One man does not make a defence, sure, but he looked lost. A bit like he does now. Dire again last night, absolutely atrocious.
I don’t want him anywhere near centre back. The other central spot can be rotated between Ake, Akanji and Stones for another season.

Why would he walk after signing a two year deal and the club is planning to start the rebuild in the summer?
Well, to be fair, I think things have gone seriously downhill since they agreed the contract.

I thought we looked shite even when we were winning earlier in the season, then when Rodri went down, I fucking knew we were in the shit. Said to my mate on the way home after the horrible Southampton shit show that 8th might be a stretch. Apparently, it really is.

Injuries have come back to really bite us. Especially to all our key defenders. Not to mention the Rodri sized hole in the set up.

The only way we’re getting relegated is if there’s a 115 points deduction.
Winning that is more important than our current form.
Let’s hope our lawyers defend better than our players.

Missing Rodri has nothing to do with conceding all those goals, not only yesterday but the whole season. Pep created this team that's been progressively becoming more and more one-dimensional in the attack and an abject positional game in defence. Plus he ended up with every single player out of form. Or you are saying Dias, Gvardiol and Walker were somehow psychologically afflicted by missing Ake, Stones and Akanji?

The missing defenders do. Having to be forced in playing a totally out of sorts Walker isn't a great situation.
