If the rot continues what happens ?

How about when we bought Ake for £40M from Bournemouth? I don’t remember any ringing endorsements of that deal, do you? Thankfully, he has done well when fit, but these players are all the same age profile, so they look like they all need replacing at the same time! Where’s the continuity? The changing of the guard?
I did, thought and said he was a brilliant signing and cheap at that price. He went under the radar at Bournemouth because of who he played for. THB is nowhere near his level and would be even further away had he stayed with us

Haaland and Foden have been the biggest disappointments on the pitch for me this season. Haaland had absolutely no impact on last night’s game whatsoever. None. Even when crosses were going in he was a beat behind. The heat is all going to players who aren’t all that experienced - Rico - or are ageing out - Kyle - with both playing in areas most affected by injury. Haaland and Foden have no such excuse. They aren’t scoring enough, simples.
Haaland looks like a frustrated figure, like me at five a side he's thinking I'm way too good to play with these donkeys

Pep is the greatest manager I’ve seen in my lifetime. I have full trust he will fix the issue.

However, if he’s gone full Mourinho and lost the magic he comes across as a man who will do the best for the club.

He’s given us 5 titles, the Champions League and a treble.
He’s earned the right to choose when he goes after what he has done for us.
Six titles mate.

Getting top 4 and winning the court case would be a good season. With the CWC prize money it’s probably the ideal season to drop out of the CL if the rot continues.

Personally I think we need four key players in January and the summer. The spine of this team moving into next season should be Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden and Haaland. I think we need a proper right back, creative midfielder, holding/box to box midfielder and a wide player. Without sounding spoilt I’m talking players with the ability to replace Gundogan, KDB and Walker long To be getting term.

Potentially also a new goalkeeper as well and let Ederson go to Saudi
Pretty much agree on what is needed but the Guys we bring in should be of the quality of immediate starters -we’ve pissed away the option of bringing players in as understudies etc in the last few Transfer Windows. No more Nunés type signings.

Well, to be fair, I think things have gone seriously downhill since they agreed the contract.

Nuh-uh! We lost 4 games on the bounce before the contract extension, we won one and drew one since and lost two since. That's going uphill, right.

Pep hasn’t lost the magic, he’s simply managing a squad past its peak. He’s extracted every last ounce of sweat out of most of these players and for some it’s a season too far.

Liverpool looked way off it a few seasons ago when they had Henderson and Fabinho in midfield. The likes of Salah, Van Dijk and TAA also seen their form drop off a cliff. Klopp replaced their midfield engine room and they look back to their best now.

We need an energetic defensive midfielder, creative midfielder and a rapid LB or RB. That will save our season and start the rebuild. There is potential in Doku and Savinho but we play slow predictable football which allows them to be teamed up on. We get some creativity in the middle of the pitch and it’s game on. A pacy full back and legs in the middle will also prevent the counter as well.

My worry is that we won’t be able to bring in the players we want whilst we’ve still got the likes of Gundo, Walker and KDB etc on huge wages.

I’m not sure if it continues like this.
You can see the strain on his face and the toll it took on him against Feyenoord when he scratched his head to bits.
If it carry’s on I won’t be surprised if he walks.
I felt pretty much the same and my Bald Dome would also have been a mess but fortunately I had a hat on. What sort of complaints would there have been had he stood there shrugging his shoulders or laughing or similar? He’s intense and critical when we’ve just won 6-0.

Bang on, just look at when we replaced Yaya, Fern and Silva with Gundogan, Rodri and KDB. Quality replaced with quality. Nunes couldn’t lace De Jongs boots

Do you have the PowerBall numbers for this weekend?

We fall to the middle of the pack. I doubt we can fall to relegation zone. We'd be between 5 and 11 is my guess.

I think we'll be better vin January. Even without additiond. Especially if the injuries clear up a bit. But we won't be good enough to challenge for any cups or top 4 without some changes to the system.

Yes, we. Will.

If we can’t manage to finish 4th, I’d rather continue to be wank and finish 7th or lower (but obviously above 18th!) so we finish outside the Europa League/Europa Conference qualification places.

Can’t be arsed with Sunday PL games next season because we’re in those second and third rate comps.

Lol

It’s probably been covered elsewhere, but we’ve not suddenly become badly managed.

The eye has not been taken of the ball, but unfortunately we have been hamstrung.

It’s amazing we have done as well as we have with the charges and the fatigue it will have caused. This year we have not been able to raise it.

The management has also been managing with one hand behind our back. They have no real choice, but to prepare contingency in case we lose. We are a smart run business with investors and we have to satisfy potential threats and we clearly have one which is non quantifiable. We don’t know really the worst case scenario.

Regardless of the fact we clearly feel confident we have to do this, anything else would fall short of the Directors judicial responsibilities.

This has mainly meant leaving a large amount of wriggle room for PSR for future seasons and not doing silly deals with players based on outcomes.

It has impacted the overall quality in our squad.

But before season we have done better then we hoped.

Once the charges are done we either know what we are dealing with or it’s nothing. Both ways bar a silly punishment we will be in a better position for the Directors to lead us forward.

I don’t see a great team in the prem, so I think we have every chance of being back top in next season or 2 if we have a punishment that takes us out of CL.
