If the rot continues what happens ?

If we don't get top 4 it'll be quite a set back
Not set back Liverpool much. They finished 5th in our treble season. 18 months later they’re flying and the season they finished 5th is a distant memory.

Plus we’ll get at least £60m for competing in the Club World Cup. Maybe double that if we go and win it.

The club will spend that sucking up to the press by sprucing up the facilities in the press box and inviting 3000 kids from Birmingham and London to the Etihad to cheer on whichever team we are playing on that day.

Not that difficult. Stop playing Rico and tell Josko keep things simple u will get at least a draw and build from there.

If pep continues to play Rico in the midfield and let Josko leak goal after goal then the worst will happen.

And of course: don't play Walker

So who's playing in defence then?

Dias in a one man backline?

I don’t think we will win a trophy this season, but I started the season thinking that way, even before we lost Rodri and Bobb to injury and Alvarez. Nevertheless I have supported City since the early 1960s so I see no reason to stop now. I am sure some snowflakes will switch their allegiance to whichever club wins the Premier League this season, but that will all be forgotten very soon, just like a snowfall. City won’t panic and sack Pep, that is what Man U or Chelsea would do, but I think we do need to begin a rebuild, with a focus on getting Academy players to stay. No more Palmer cock ups please.

Haaland it will , his agent did an interview and said his release clause drops dramatically if we are not in the champions league. Since he wants to play in that competition above everything else.

We have a goalkeeper who cant save much, world class distribution though. Great when things are going well, exposed when things get tuff. Time feels right for a change imo, so GK needed next summer (wont get 1 in Jan). Unless we give Ortega a go

Walkers finished and Rico’s never a right back. So need 1 right back at least…

We have no left backs. Gvardiol did ok but has been awful of late. Ake can fill in if fit, but feel we need someone who’s a legitimate LB, so 1 LB required at least

We have good numbers at Centre half, especially if Gvardiol moves across. However several are injury prone. Probably get away with no signings here but Stones/Ake a worry…

No back up DM is ludicrous (Kovacic was never a DM and Gundogan’s legs have gone). This needs addressing urgently. So 1 signing here.

CM its clear Nunes is not good enough long term. So 1 required there with Kova staying.

AM, KDB’s time is up. Tuff to say out loud but time waits for no man. Silva similar for me. Might be the right time for him to move along aswell. Echeverri A kid, will need an established elite AM for me

Wingers, Grealish/Silva/Doku/Savinho have delivered very little. Doku/Savinho have promise but we need at least 1 winger who is an established elite level goal threat. Need to take the pressure off Haaland and have another threat. Grealish and Silva possibly to move on over the next few transfer windows. Hoping Bobb comes back with a determination to make up for lost time…

Attacker, Haaland is fine. Probably frustrated but obviously we keep him if we can. Letting Alvarez go with no replacement has to be one of the strangest decisions in a long time (compare Liverpools options upfront to ours, laughable). So we need a back up to Haaland asap. If he goes down with an injury, its curtains…

So in summary, GK, RB, LB, DM, CM, AM, Winger and a back up striker required. Poor for us to let it get to this stage. Can only presume Txixi took his eye off the ball with his impending retirement… not gonna be a quick fix!!

Rico isn't a problem, he is technically gifted, and can defend.

the problem is baldy keep trying to turn him into philip lahm, great when we have all our defence and rodri, utter madness in our present situation.

Pep is ruining lewis potential with overload as much as mcatees with indiference.

I await those who don't accept criticism of Pep to hammer me for this

When put into words like this, and a very accurate assessment, it becomes clear what a massive task lies ahead!

It's not impossible of course, but definitely not in the 'quick fix' category.
