If us blues really want this......

Lets make it a Paul Calf day after the success of the Alan Partridge day at Norwich. Just imagine the players reaction when they see all those mullett haircuts, theyll be well up for it.

Anyone know where you can buy inflatable mulletts and some cellotape?

Billy, what you on about, thats the only style haircut you can get in Glossop isnt it ???

;-)

how many of these pointless threads is there going to be ? yes we know there will be a great atnosphere on monday but it wont be down to all these tub thumping " 12 th man needed " bollocks threads people dont need to.be told to sing on monday !

I will take a win of any type.

But if, just possibly if, we could batter them again.... just think what it would do for our morale and theirs with 2 games left.

We are at full strength this time, and at home and they are mutton dressed as lamb for sure. Let's go at them full on for 90 minutes and put another 6 past them. We can do it. Vidic is the only decent defender they have got and without him they are shite at defending.

They are dangerous going forward, so let's not let them. Gas on the pedal, full on, 94 minutes. They would get slaughtered.

For 20 long years i've had to watched them win EVERYTHING every season and watch us be the joke of english football, i've had to many headaches off their irritating plastic fans. I think we deserve some justice, i hope we fucking smash them, we get to see fergie, giggs, wio, fatty and their fans hitting rock bottom and looking suicidal. They need to realise nothing lasts forever.

I cant allow myself to think this - a 1-0 win on this one would do for me!!

Awful lot of complacency on this thread, and to suggest that blues, indeed any blues, dont know that Derby games have a better atmosphere than most matches is laughable in the extreme.

Dont need to justify myself but been on bluemoon since 2005 and been following the blues long before that.

My point, more than the atmosphere, is the nervousness that I have seen at numerous matches in the recent past that has resulted in the crowd going into relative silence. This was no more evident than the silence at wolves up to the point where we scored the second.

Our fans simply do not yet have the experience in these big matches and we can't let our nerves hinder the atmosphere, we simply have to get behind them, no matter what the state of the game.

This game is too big to just leave to chance and i personally dont care how many tub thumping posts there are it will just get me more and more fired up.

I've had a season ticket for 27 years and during that time, I can count the number of important games on two hands...

Charlton match to get promoted
FMC Final
Play Off Final
Blackburn away to get promoted
CC Semi's - both legs
FA Cup semi
FA Cup final

It's not a great deal to get excited about really... apart from last year! The match on Monday may not be the ultimate decider to see who wins the league... as Newcastle will have a significant say in the matter however...

THIS is THE game that I have waited for in all those years... a chance for me to finally say that we're not just the best team in Manchester but possibly the best team in the country.

The atmosphere on Monday needs to be one that blows the socks off everyone who is lucky enough to be there and also everyone around the world who will be watching the match on TV.

We need to show everyone that the past 35 years of having to take 'council house', 'empty seats', 'emptihad', 'cup for cock-up's', 'nobody knows their name' jibes has just been blown out of the water. We need to show everyone watching worldwide that City have the best team and the best fans in the game. And we are the ones that can do that...

We can roar our favourites to glory, we can drown out those red shites in the away end, we can put the fear of God into those wearing the red shirts, we can take control of our own destiny and create an atmosphere and clamour that the Gods in Olympus will quake at hearing...

We are City, we are Together, this is OUR time, we have to BELIEVE and we have to INSPIRE...

Let's make Monday night the one night that will be legendary in the annals of footballing history, let's CREATE history, let's hammer those red shirted devils into the ground with our noise and passion and let's win it for MANCHESTER!!!

COME ON CITY!!!!!

Bradford away also springs to mind, but you're right, its a pretty scant return for the time invested. This game is huge, it will have a worldwide audience and we have to show the world what being a blue means!

Yes, this is the game where we need to keep driving the players on, no matter what.

Even if United (heaven forbid) go 1-0 or 2-0 up, we need to remember what Everton did and keep believing.

That means:
-- no boo-ing at half time
-- no periods of silence while we listen to the away fans celebrating
-- no groaning when a player makes a mistake or a wayward pass
(all things that have happened in recent matches).

If we don't believe, then neither will the players.
