but why drogba? not arguing his talents, he is world class
but dont we need someone to sort out defensive midfield/defensive problems?

so you seen how many we are conceeding ?
everyone who is a city fan knows our defensive problems are far worse than our scoring ones.
For those wanting Essien, isn't he out all season, thus making our 1 signing a rather daft and useless one!
The defence is a major problem, but needs more than 1 player to sort out. So then for me, if we continue to play 1 upfront, we have to have a player who has the strength and ability to do this. This man is Drogba. Premiership experience, strong, skillful, scores goals. The ball would not come straight back at us with Drogba upfront, even if we pumped long balls at him! I'd love Villa or Eto'o, but the bolded part is why I'd choose the Drog if it was only 1 signing.

My one signing would be Guus Hiddink. I didn't read the rules. Did it have to be a player? If so then Essien if he wasn't injured.
