If we sign no-one where will we finish?

5th for my money, we have major weaknesses all over the pitch, but we are strong enough to beat the weaker teams home and away.

disaster. 10th at best.
with this squad mancini is fucking clueless.
You me 10th like Hughes did with his full season in charge Bill?

exactly, we have at this time made no progess at all, mancini has had better players than what hughes started with.
bob dropped well lucky and still fucked it up.

no chance of improvement,6th or 7th would be my guess.
fact is we need a LB,RB,CB,Creative mid and striker at least

Agreed.

Agreed also, very weak in full back areas. Need creativity also and proper box to box midfielder and unless they can be trained, a striker who stays in the penalty area and not wander everywhere but

Why on earth would he finish 10th when he's just finished 5th and only had 1/2 a season? He's no mourinho but he's about the best manager we're going to get at present.

If mancini retired today he's still won more as a manager than hughes ever will for the rest of his management career.

we finished 5th because hughes won us that spot, a full season under bob without mark's help would be a disaster.
38 0-0's will relegate us.

if we dont buy anyone at all... 5th 6th or maybe 7th

tbh, i cant see liverpool/everton having another bad season

i think we would finish fourth as the team will have finally had a season to gel unlike every new season we have to wait for players to adjust. also the timely resturns of players like hart, micheal johson and having tevez fit and firing all season will help

Eighth if SWP, Ireland and Bellamy leave and no one comes in to replace them.

5th or 6th.

I doubt Liverpool will have such a shit season again.

I doubt Everton will have 13 first team players out injured again. Everton ran out of games, but were catching up and one of the better teams since Christmas.

City are not good enough yet to guarantee anything. You will have European pressures next season too, so if you can finish top 6 again it will be a good season.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and to go from being relegation candidates to regular top 6 finishers is a huge step forward.

When all teams are fit, there isn't anything between the top 7 sides now regarding ability. Chelsea have the best squad, and United the best experience, but Everton, City, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Villa are all very strong when all fit.

These same teams will be top 7 next year again, but in which order isn't easy to predict. I will stick my neck out though and say Everton when fit are still the strongest for now of the new breed despite last seasons finishing places.
