IF we win the title against the Rags...

I'm enjoying the "i wouldn't want to watch that every week" thread !
This is the first post (love the first proper reply though.......'do you watch united'):

.... I wouldn’t want to watch that every week.

That may seem a contradiction in terms but much of their football would bore me to tears. I watched that game today and yes they had mountains of possession but I’d love to know how much of it was on or around the half way line. Is Kompany knocking it to Fernandinho back to Kompany into Silva back again and repeat god knows how many times really such exceptional football ?

I get they’re probing for openings and can then be brutal in their execution but it’s not high tempo, exciting cavalier football. Certainly nothing like the way we played under Fergie and hopefully will see again under Jose.

Everyone sees it differently but for me I’d want the ball going back to front much quicker. Reminded me a bit of us under LVG but without the obvious difference in player quality. Admittedly I missed most of the first half but I didn’t see Pickford have much to do at all in the second half and that was against a team touching 90% possession at times.

I could very easily have nodded off, just as I could watching Pep’s Barcelona much of the time.

You have to laugh at this sort of shit don’t you. Our football has been sublime this season. There has hardly been a game I haven’t been blown away by the way we have played. It’s just been the best season from a quality perspective. Superb from start to finish.

He will extend for another year at City & then likely a sabbatical. Will then sign a bumper contract with PSG. He will only extend as he is behind in the 3 year plan due to last season being a a write off. He would have fully expected to win the PL last season & have a decent run in the CL. He could have then spent the next 2 seasons going hard for the CL. He has already said he is not a long term manager. His training is intense & players start to lose interest after a few years. He also put's himself under a lot of stress so needs regular down time to save from burn out.

City & PSG are basically the same kind of clubs. The bonus at PSG is that the league is a 1 horse race. He can take it easy & go all out for the CL. City owners want the CL badly but they also want a decent showing in the league. PSG are the only club apart from City who will give him the financial backing he needs. Think he will retire from club management after PSG. He would probably love to go back to Barca. A lot of their top players are coming to the end though & won't be there in 6 - 7 years time. I don't think he would relish the task of finding the new Messi, Iniesta etc etc.

They’re hurting on the Caf. The delusion is seeping out of this one. They’re going to be demoralised when Pep extends for another few years at the end of the season.

The way Bernarno
Copy some posts over to here, I can’t go on there, it’s against my religion.

Try this for size. an extract udner the heading " City are a great side but,.." i could not watch them every week, nearly fell asleep watching the game tonight!

Can you believe the extract from his post, this bit in bold from another rag who simply responds with , have you watched Man U recently?

What an unbelievable opportunity we have on Saturday. It's a dream for every Blue who ever lived to win the title against them.

The good thing is bar Mendy we should have a full squad (don't know latest on Delph) so this aside we could make some changes and still have a strong team.
I don't think Pep will make too many changes, he will want it won in front of our fans.

If any set of fans deserve to win the title in this way then it's City fans after the amount of ridicule they've subjected us to.

Just read that Pep will play a lesser team against the rags and concentrate on champions league. Quite right to for me. I think we will draw against them to be honest. Hope I am wrong.
