IF we win the title against the Rags...

This is a once in a life time opportunity and one our team will not pass up on. We're in such an incredible position and this would be right up there with the Aguero moment if we did it.

I genuinely can't wait.
 
I'd prefer Pep to focus more on getting past the red dippers, so if that means sacrificing a few players (i.e. rest them for the derby so that they are fresh for the dippers return leg), then so be it.

We will simply be delaying winning the league by a game or two at worst, even if we draw or lose to the scum, we're still winning the league no matter what, there will be no last minute wobble from this team, it's just too good for that.

I believe the club hierarchy want success in the Chumps League more than anything else, especially as there is no standout team in the Chumps League at the moment, we have a very good chance of getting to the final this season.
 
We could play Roque Santa Cruz up top and we'd still smash them.

lol we have the chance to win the league against the team that has taunted us for 30 odd years. Not a chance he will rest players
 
Easiest solution is win the Liverpool away leg 3-0 or 4-0 or even 5-0 then second leg doesn’t remain all that important and can go full force in derby ... but if we are taking a 1-1 or 2-2 or even a narrow one goal loss back for the second leg then derby becomes the least important game of this season ... play kids and save the first team for next Tuesday ... far more important as winning the title would have another 6 chances ... losing to that lot in quarters of CL would dampen the whole season and the whole debate about being the best team ever to grace the PL would fall flat on its face as well ... and isn’t the media and everyone already unbearable when we haven’t even played the first leg yet, imagine them for years to come should we fail to qualify for semis against the scousers ... roll on Wednesday and everything else (derby team selection) will all depend on THAT first leg result!

That may seem a contradiction in terms but much of their football would bore me to tears. I watched that game today and yes they had mountains of possession but I’d love to know how much of it was on or around the half way line. Is Kompany knocking it to Fernandinho back to Kompany into Silva back again and repeat god knows how many times really such exceptional football ?

I get they’re probing for openings and can then be brutal in their execution but it’s not high tempo, exciting cavalier football. Certainly nothing like the way we played under Fergie and hopefully will see again under Jose.

Everyone sees it differently but for me I’d want the ball going back to front much quicker. Reminded me a bit of us under LVG but without the obvious difference in player quality. Admittedly I missed most of the first half but I didn’t see Pickford have much to do at all in the second half and that was against a team touching 90% possession at times.

I could very easily have nodded off, just as I could watching Pep’s Barcelona much of the time.

I hate watching them because they are city. Would drool if we played like that. Barca were similarly amazing to watch but I hated most of it as we were rivals at that stage.

Yep. If United were playing and winning like City right now we would be loving every second of it.

Watched some of the first half. They were stunning. I'd kill to see us playing like that

and my favourite..

We've just seen him at 3 níl up vs a shocker of a toffee side play Silva and komps and so on until the end. The 3 subs he made showed how ruthless he is. You could tell his public statement about the sec half was rubbish and he was going to kill them for being sloppy about the goal.

Fact is we've had a 3 week break, we've now got 4 whoppers ahead for various reasons. The core of eddy vinny otto walker Silva kdb dinho sane sterling will play every min. The rest like danilo/delph/laporte at lb and kun/jesus up top will rotate. If we lead well in games gundy and Bernie will be on to drive it home.

Simple as that.
 
Win the title against united, knock Liverpool out of the Champions League and receive a guard of honour at Wembley all in the space of a week. God I hope this happens.
 
If somehow they manage to beat us, we then need 2 wins to win the league out of the last 6?

Sorry to sound miserable but not something I’d thought of till I heard it today.

That's assuming United win all of their remaining fixtures.

Also, if we don't win 2 of the last 6 which includes the likes Huddersfield, Brighton, Southampton and West Ham then we've royally fucked up.

Oh yeh I’m not saying we won’t win it but just not thought about what happens if we lost to United. All been about just 1 game to win but could turn out to be 2.

Anyway we’ll do em 5-0 so no worries.
