So Erling Haaland is turning into a pretty good buy for City. Reports today suggest no release clause for him to leave for Madrid.
So it got me thinking if we can keep him for an extended period can we become Europes top club for a while. Can we match Munich, Madrid, Barca, Livarpool, Milan and Man Yoo in stature and trophies. Are we well on the way? Domestically i don't doubt it. A huge turnout last night for a wet and windy smaller European game. How many more match going fans have we added since Erling came and is it a good idea to get the stadium expansion moving quickly? I think we are well on the way and anyone at the club will probably say one step at a time. Up the blues.

If we can equal the number of champions League trophies held by European royalty Manchester United in his time here then I'll be happy as, it's only 3, Chelsea and Forrest are 1 behind, and I can see the first CL win opening the floodgates for the club

Mmm. I think Madrid have 14 CL's. Probably daft of me to look too far ahead but if things continue as well as they are i can see us being in the top four European clubs and staying their.

Big ask. Madrid 14, Milan, Bayern, Liverpool 6 each. Barca 5. Just off the top of my head mind.

Hang on just a minute. Yes Alfies lad is good but he isn't everything. If he got injured tomorrow and was out for a lengthy time we would carry on being great. A stupid 5 minutes in Madrid meant we missed out on back to back finals in the Corrupt Cup. We are brilliant with or without Alfies lad. The media will tell you otherwise but what do they know.

Back in the mid 90's I worked for a company based in the wirral and one of my colleagues was a football obsessed, extremely gobby Liverpool supporter
Home and away including numerous European trips (he was at Heysel)
If ever he spoke to a United supporter, who were now starting to win the prem regularly, he would very smugly reel off all the trophies Liverpool had won
I left the firm after a couple of years, but when united caught Liverpool in English league titles and then surpassed them, I did let out a little laugh in memory of the scouse twat
I very much hold onto the thought that in twenty years we may be the most successful English club

So,it was more a jibe that United are considered European royalty but we could match their European cups in 5 or so years if everything goes smoothly, Chelsea are one behind having played less in Europe and Forrest are one behind despite not being in Europe for over 3 decades.

Were not catching real
