I get the feeling that some managers just get lucky with these jobs.
People saying things like, "all these experts that know better than a £3m a year manager" don't answer the simple questions.
Why play MDM against a pacy attacker?
Why play yaya in a midfield two?
Why play Bony when it's clear that either his confidence is shot or he just isn't good enough?
All these questions and many more aren't people being wise after the event. It's what we've seen time and time again.

Why would he leave? He's not an arrogant twat like Jose.

He's the type that would compromise, try to work out a solution that suits all. He will concede players coming in that don't really suit if he's appeased by getting a target he wants in the transfer market.

They're all fair questions you ask and a lot of the criticism and questioning of him in general is fair BUT things are never black and white, we don't know what he has to contend with behind the scenes so we're not properly in a place to judge.

He has frustrated the life out of me on occasion but nowhere nearly as much as those that declare him a shit manager, clueless, senile, tactically inept etc. He wouldn't be in this job if he was any of them things and frankly I find it disgusting that a man that has delivered three trophies to this club is spoken about by City fans with such disrespect.

Whether it's him (and I suspect that it is) or someone behind the scenes, why would you persist with something that quite clearly isn't working?
I can't understand the blind faith in him from some on here. First it was "we're still in 4 competions", then it goes 4,3,2,1 in no time. Then it's not his fault because he's being hamstrung. It's bollocks.

Because it suits the long game. The ground is being prepped for Pep, why would you throw the whole thing into disarray when we are still competing? It hasn't been good enough in terms of the league this season but it hasn't been completely disastrous either.

I'm not saying it's not his fault, he is the manager so he takes part of the blame regardless. All I'm saying is it seems to me that our signings last summer were with Pep in mind and Pellegrini is having to adapt somewhat as a result.

It's not blind faith, like I've said a lot of the questions are fair, a lot of the criticism is fair, I've acknowledged that he frustrates me with some of his decision making so I don't understand how you come to this conclusion that I've got blind faith in him.

Less said the better if I bumped into him. I am trying to focus on Pep's arrival is all.
 
To be fair this isn't necessarily a Pell bashing thread, it was actually opened by someone calling themselves Pell not Pep which I assume gives an indication of their standpoint.
