I would study history and politics. But personally for myself, for general knowledge. I think I was not paying enough attention to history subject at school. I sometimes even used https://www.topessaywriting.org/write-papers-for-money service, cause it's easier and save time. Now, I still think it is useful, but it's better to know the subject well in time and don't regret later that you missed something.

Egyptology. Seriously.

I was that close to doing Egyptology at university. I had offers from Oxford, London and Liverpool (as they were the only places offering it as a full time degree). Visited Oxford and couldn’t stand a single person I met. Then decided I wasn’t going to live in Liverpool or London so fell back on my other choices and did more general Ancient History instead - in a place that wasn’t full of bellends.
