What is not in any doubt is that many many teams, including City, were singing "we shall not be moved, just like a team that's gonna win the FA Cup" right back to the 70s and probably before.

It really is, yes it doesn't meaning anything but it sounds fuckin great. This is why almost every team has made up their own versions about not being moved, regardless of what they might not be moved from being any good.
