If You Wanna Protest Tomorrow, Do It After The Game.

Well I'm a North Stand refugee but there's no way I'll be protesting in any way.

I've had contact with the club who have answered my angry ramblings so I will move on.

Unhappy, bit miffed at being forced to move but what in gods earth have we got to moan about in the grand scheme of things at the moment.

North Stand- Get behind the lads, no silly banners or chants please.
I'm a North Stander and I agree with this, SO WHATEVER YOU DO IF THE MATCH GOES TITS UP TOMORROW DONT BLAME ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!

I had hoped not to do anything in the ground tomorrow but the more I think about it unless we get some publicity we are not going to stand a chance. Therefore I think we should stage a banner protest tomorrow and Wednesday. This does not mean not supporting the team but simply raising banners at the start of the game which should not be offensive and contain a simple message. I have produced one and printed it out on A3 paper but if you don't have an A3 printer I am sure an A4 one will be just as effective. Its black and white for cost reasons but if you want to make it blue and white feel free. Just make it dark as light blue won't show up. If not you can always use an old sheet etc. I will bring a few A3 versions to the game but cost will stop me printing too many. If you have the means to bring some extra please feel free to do so. Also I would urge those of you that have not yet e-mailed Garry Cook and Danny Wilson to do so as well as any media contacts you have. Cheers D*ve

FUCK

OFF

I say fair play to them. For too long in this country, football fans have just accepted how they have been treated, bent over and took it up the arse. I've always admired the Germans for the way they have held onto the game over there. They raise prices they kick off, they get treated like a number and a customer, they kick off and boycott.

I don't see any problem in a banner being raised before the game just as long as when the whistle blows every energy and effort is for the lads on the pitch.

So if there are any out there who will go to the trouble of making a banner and showing it off to show their displeasure then fair play, you have my support, just put it to one side when the game is on.

I think the OP has it right. Tomorrow is 100% about beating Villa. However...

I've been following the responses on this thread with increasing anger on my mobile in the pub tonight, and waiting till I get home to post. Thankfully Immaculate Pasta has just posted a little bit of sense so I'm a little less angry now, but the other responses have been shocking.

I'm not a North Stander but I signed the original petition and received the protest email posted on here. The wording on the planned protest posters is "NO EVICTIONS Mr Cook". It does not say, "Sheikh Out", "Cook Out" or even "Danny Wilson out". It is a protest about a bad decision by our otherwise fantastic owners. I personally think Cookie and Danny are top blokes and I don't want them to go anywhere, but I do want them to realise they have made a mistake here.

Can we now never complain about a single wrong decision they ever make because we're scared Sheikh Mansour will pull out and leave?

Where are the Supporters Club in all this? Isn't this why they exist, to represent the fans? Maybe the North Standers protesting feel no-one is listening and they have to do something radical to be heard.

I sit in the North Stand, signed the petiton and think there are times and places to do this the main thing is to beat Villa tomorrow. There have been many many meetings this week and if the people still dont think theyve had contact maybe its for Garry Cook to receive a delegation of them after the match (they are known to the club).

Barcon, this could be seriously detrimental if it pisses players off.
Complain by all means but not at the stadium.

Not sure the players would be arsed about a few sheets of paper being held up with "Cook out"on them, some might agree, stop making a big deal out of what will be a non event.
not so much as making a big deal tbh, this thread has shown there is little if any support in this protest[/quote]
Fair enough.

I am sorry but if the North stand wanted to protest it should have been at the start of the season,
If they put you in the south stand you will only come on here complaining about the noise

Did you know at the start of the season that I was going to be made homeless? You kept it fucking Quiet if you did (nearly as quiet as the south stand till we score)
