This season, I feel like winning a third Premier League title in a row is bigger than winning a first Champions League. Only four English clubs have won three league titles in a row, five English clubs have won the European Cup. Three in a row is a more exclusive club and shows quality in a 38 game league season over three seasons running.
And if we manage to do that this season, winning an unprecedented fourth in a row would be the biggest title ever in English football history.
But outside that I’d say the Champions League and Premier League are equal.
If we do win three and then if we did win four Prems in a row, after that the CL will always be the biggest until we ever got to a situation where we were going to take the lead in league titles for most in the country.
So this season, the Premier League. But I do feel like our fanbase really needs to get behind the Champions League more, I find a lot of peoples’ apathy to be very small-time and with half of them their apathy is disingenuous and really it’s just bitterness that we haven’t won yet it.
