Sorry, Johnson not a great defender - good going forward though. Vidic lost on the ground as Torres showed last season. Agaist defenders with pace Anelka is nothing special for me.

This is correct. Anyone who thinks Ireland is before Gerrard, Fabregas, Lampard, Essien is not thinking clearly. He has had one good season whereas some of these guys are crucial players to their world cup teams.
