If you didnt saw off your balls and sell em on ebay, or pimp out your daughter, to afford a ticket, you are a rag. Full stop.

For christ sakes it was a game against Aalborg not a Cup Final or a half-attended Derby game, people have other priorities in life than see City play against a team theyve never heard of before. Its great were in Europe but until were through to teams like Marseille then noones going to take much notice, thats just the reality of it. Like it or not.
If you dont then go find a team whom EVERYONE goes to every game day in and day out. Because you obviously wont be satisfied until you get 47,000 people in the ground, and even then you'll complain about something like how silent it is or why people are wearing trainers to Football matches.

I was joking...

Alot of people simply cannot afford to go twice, sometimes 3 times, a week.

What next if you don't give up you first born daughter for a good roasting by micah et all you not a true blue!
what you've got to remember is that alot of the blues that are being slagged off fo not going, probaby the ones that when home and away in the second division! and supported us through the bad times!

WFT? Letting your daughter get roasted is being compared to paying 20 quid to go and watch the team you supposedly love? Shocking. And yes I was there in division 2, have had my season ticket 17 years and even though I am struggling for cash, I made sure I had the 30 quid to go last night.

People that havent attended any home UEFA games should be given last preference on tickets in later rounds, or dare I say the final. Its their choice completely if they dont want to go, but at least the loyal ones will then get some kind of reward for their efforts.

Sorry to add to this debate but i need to get it off my chest as well. It is an absolute embarrasment 24k. I came home to all my in laws who are Evertonians and they are always asking where are our fans on European nights, they were selling out Goodison this time last year in the UEFA Cup. This Credit Crunch excuse has run its course now, if we get to the Semi's there will be an extra 20k who suddenly turn up in these hard up days. I for one have been driving back from work all over the country to see these games. The UEFA Cup excites me and its all we have left to play for regarding cups. The team needs us behind them BUT then again the 24k who were there last night did us proud especially block 110 getting the atmosphere going right through the game.

RANT OVER

What a shit thread. The equivalent of City v MK Dons in the last 16 of the FA Cup and they wanted £20 for ST's and £25 for t'others (apart from concessions).

Way Too Greedy - and the attendance was shit as a result. There is a recession in full swing in case you haven't noticed.

Yes I went but I hate going to half empty stadiums and sometimes I don't bother for early round cup games. We never fill this sort of game. The club should just recognise this and give it away for nowt or next to nowt to ST holders to get the fans in. It's not as if the club cannot afford to do it.

awsome song!!!

sigh....how can you seriously say that a song which aims to slag off your fellow blues and alienate them is an awesome song....it's cringeworthy at best and gives other fans more ammunition

just like singing "you must have come in a taxi" to the all away fans when we have the top tiers partially empty

Of course we have no bills how silly of me to forget different priorties I suspect, Plonker

Well why can you not accept that many fans have to prioritise which games they can attend? I love City, but my family (and our future) comes first every time. It costs me, on average & not being a ST holder, well over £100 for each game I attend (bringing one more with me). If you can afford that for every game, then congratulations, you obviously have less commitments or a better paid job than many of us.
Read my replies cheesy I couldn't care less if I was sat on my own but going to the game doesn't make me a clown I accept other people have different priorities so should you.

That's just my point mate :-) I just don't believe Blues should be slagging other Blues for not going to games when they have no idea what their personal circumstances are. What I didn't agree with was you saying that fans just couldn't be arsed going. I only get to half a dozen or so home games a season (in my case it's mainly due to my job), but it certainly isn't because I can't be arsed :-)
It's my assumptiom cheesy I know I could be wrong but IMO most couldn't be arsed I know several of that ilk but you are right who am I to judge.
