Just caught a bookie on the TV saying they will pay out if it comes off. Been to the races loads of times and on occasion there's a race that you look at the paper in the morning at the form then you get there and one outsider has amazingly been backed in and wins. Usually happens in the week at smaller meetings not at the weekend. Normally put it down to insider knowledge and it only takes someone to put a decent size bet on in a smaller meeting for the odds to change quickly. I'm sure it was John MacCririck who got into trouble for saying a race a day was fixed but could be someone else
