Iheanacho needs to be starting games

The last 2 games he has started up top with Aguero have seen a 3-0 and a 4-0 win, looked great going forward both times which is totally the opposite of today.

Surely a start v Everton on Wednesday is a given obvious tactic?

Last season most were complaining about Pellegrini being stubborn and sticking with a 4-4-2, now all of a sudden it is the answer to our problems. We started the season on fire playing with Aguero up front on his own so it certainly can work.
I don't think it's the answer to our problems. I say so long as we're conceding anyway, we might as well try a new strategy of outscoring our opposition away from home. At home we seem to have less of a problem with this, so maybe one striker at home if Pellegrini wants.

The only bad thing to do here is keep trying something that isn't getting results. Two midfielders, 3, 4, 7, it doesn't seem to matter. Whatever tiny defensive advantage we've gained is greatly offset by the fact that our production goes way down. Our defending is so laughable, what other options do we have?

Him not starting and seeing Yaya, silva and KDB starting is the exact reason pellegrini will be out and not soon enough.

I seriously don't think he even considers him for league matches and I doubt he ever will. He's young and his transfer fee wasn't high enough, regardless of results he'll keep running Bony out there.
Until he doesn't. Then you'd just move on to the next reason why you hate him.

Iheanachos Minutes across the season -

It's blindingly obvious he's a 19 year old being gradually introduced into the first team and being managed properly.

Shhhhhhh! The dumb manager doesn't know what he is doing. That's the narrative here. Why spoil that with facts and common sense.

This argument bur in reverse was pointed to these same folks last year about the 442. They couldn't stand it. Now it's all they want. Laughabl, really.

That's not really true though. Delph started over the more expensive Fernando and Fernandinho. Navas started over Sterling despite Sterling being the more expensive player with the higher profile reputation.
Stop with your facts mate. You are getting in the way of a fine fantasy with all this common sense.

Its clear as day that we play better and look more dangerous when he and aguero play. absolute beggars belief why pellegrini sticks to the same shite
it beggars belief that you can,t see that if we over play the lad at this stage in his career, and he pulls a hamstring,we are left with two, injury prone strikers to front our assault on four trophies.

And its blindly obvious that Manuel is a master at managing players, and their particular needs ,over the course of a season.

Have to admit nacho man is dynamite!! Has a huge impact every time he plays and changed the game for us yesterday. Sergio had someone to feed him allowing to bring other players into the game. The fact the plank brought Fernando on for Merlin when we were on top and pressing lost some momentum though!

His spacial awareness is excellent, got a real talent on our hands if he is managed correctly.

Fully agree and managing correctly is the key thing. Just got to look over the road and look what the scum did with Jizzyjazz (and likely also with Whatshisname) they thought they were the next sliced bread only (in jizzyjazz's case) to probably ruin his career.

Horses for courses and I'm sure he will get more minutes/game time as and when that is correct to do so.

Changed the game for us yesterday and got us the goal just through determination, when he come on he tried his best and you could see that he really wanted to win, that's why he deserves to start next game and is our second choice imo.

Aguero needs a partner up front to get the best out of him otherwise he is feeding off scraps and more often than not with his back to goal where he is a little bit wasted. As soon as Iheanacho came on yesterday, Aguero looked for more dangerous.

We said last season that we needed to go to 4-5-1, I think that was partly because we didn't have anyone capable of playing consistently well with Aguero. His best ever run of form for us was when he was playing with Negredo at the start of 13/14.

Now we have Iheanacho who is good enough and willing to work hard enough (unlike for example, Dzeko) we should be starting with him even if it means sacrificing one of Silva, Yaya or KDB.

Yes Pellers, chuck the boy in. Seems to give those around him more energy and play more direct. I honestly believe that if he starts from now until the end of the season we will win at least 2 trophies.

A player can pull a hamstring at any age doing anything from playing to getting out of a car. There are games when we need a partner for Aguero, whether it's Nacho or Bony. There are certainty games where Nacho needs to come on very early in the second half.

The lad isn't a 16 year old waif who needs wrapping in cotton wool. He's a strong, talented player who offers an underperforming team something they desperately lack in some games and we are under using him.

Just nearly choked on my cornflakes - 'assault on 4 trophies'.
