Guillem Ballague saying on Revista that some of Casillas's friends have said to the media he will go to Manchester City and he has 4 offers on the table, he is not happy apparently.

All comes after the he was surprisingly put on the bench for Madrid at the weekend.

Imagine him and Hart competing for the number 1 position?

Yes please!!!!

no chance.

we need a centre half and a left winger first.

I'd love to see us sign Casillas but I just don't think there's room for him and Hart, both being number one for their country. If he's not happy competing with Lopez I can't see him moving here to compete with Hart.

Absolutely fantastic player, but it looks to me like he probably fancies himself as a bit of a politician - hence the issues at Madrid.

If he leaves Real Madrid someone is going to sign one heck of a goalie!

Hart and Iker competing for the shirt is an unrealistic idea. One or the other. Both weren't great last season. In peak form Iker is probably better but not so much better that it's worth the effort to sell Joe, which would be a very, very unpopular move with fans.

We can still go after Casillas!

Hart does need competition.
And why is Casillas not happy?....
Because Real (Both Mourinho and Ancelotti) seem to prefer playing Lopez.

I'd take Casillas in a heartbeat, I love Joe but Casillas is the best in the world IMO and one of the best of the 21st century.
Can't see them both at city though, Joe would leave if we sign Casillas.

Exactly, so he's not going to join another club where he's not the guaranteed number one...

There was definitely a Real Madrid manager a few years back (I think it may of been Pellers) who wanted to replace Casillias with Diego Lopez from Villarreal. However the board made sure that Casillias would not be replaced. I don't think Iker is as irreplaceable to Madrid as he once was but if it was Pellegrini who wanted to replace him then I doubt he would want him now. Especially when we need a CB more than any other position.
