I think it takes three days to register a new player. Don’t think they can be named in a squad until the registration is complete.

If he's registered by noon on Friday he can be in the squad for Saturday

yep. These things always follow the same pattern. Fly in late afternoon, have a nice dinner at that fancy restaurant before doing media duties and medical the following morning. Announcement will probably be around 10 am on Friday
