sounds incredibly vague and not in the know.

i dont get why any player would leave the best team ever when he's just captained them to a treble. lifting that trophy in instanbul couldnt have got more perfect for him.

His options are……Barcelona in a league that is rapidly losing its lustre. A dortmnud that has been ripped apart?

Dont tell me its for the weather or whatever. his career is another 2-3 years and then hes got the rest of his life to do whatever he wants.

Maybe they all secretly cant stand Pep and his neurotic ways
Have you ever heard of leaving on top?

This is what it looks like

He's a legend and I love him and saying goodbye is hard to do, but I think the time is probably right for both player and club. The midfield needs a refresh, we can keep Kev for two years but probably not keep playing both, and a three year contract just builds problems in and kicks the can down the road. Just think we need one or two signings to offset this.

The perfect way to go, lifting the lot and waving goodbye.

He saw a move to Barcelona collapse when he was at Dortmund after his back diagnosis.

Clearly wants to try a different lifestyle and environment, can think of worse places than Barcelona.

He will know Torres and Garcia, wife will be happy.

If he's off, it's the right decision for him and us. Legend, and I never thought I would be saying that three years ago!

Haha the Sly Sports negativity on the Kovacic to City article. Mentions of age and poor stats, good value for Chelsea etc. Let's face it, 3 years ago we'd have all thought Kovacic was the better player over Gundogan. Ilkay proved his worth to us when he was approaching his 30s, what a man and what a player. He will be sorely missed but bows out as a City legend and I wish him all the best.
I wouldn't. But yes, did think Kovacic was an excellent player. And wanted him before Madrid. So I'm quite happy he is here.

We have to understand that we'd never replace like for like. The game is simply tweaked to highlight the advantages bod the new player.

Kevin for Yaya
Bernardo for Merlin
Rodri for Dihno
and now Kovacic for Gundogan. Just like all the other replacements before, this too will not be an inferior clone of the former, rather it would be a different take on a similar position.

I'm here for it.

Yep, this is all about lifestyle and keeping his wife happy. Barca the football club are a shit show, but Barcelona the city is incredible and I fully understand why he would want to move there.

Not that bothered he is leaving- gave his all and provided some absolutely inspired moments - but always the danger of a the morning after the night before effect, he has been there seen it done it now, and will he be as motivated plus age of 33 and possible injuries

Phillips will want to prove a point this season and already talking about fight second season understanding and spoke to Nathan and got good advice

Kovatic - new boy will want some of the medals for himself will have a drive about him and want to impress

Same with other new signings

Pep never let us down in past and we had plenty of we are doomed merchants when we let Sterling and Zinks leave and Gabby - look how that turned out
