I’m gutted really am, I understand I do and I’ll always love him BUT, I feel like it’s a poor move, could of become a certified premier league legend, at Barca he’ll become one of many who came and went, they’ll forget about him quickly, we won’t.

Could of furthered his city legacy but what he has will always remain in tact, good luck Gundo❤️x

well he might get his first weeks wages, then it will be a case of the signing on fee not being paid and a public request for him to take a 70% pay cut and an even more public slating when he refuses to do so for not being loyal to the cause

all this happening while they talk about all the other players they are aiming to sign

Barca 2020 onwards is not the Barca some players think they are joining
 
I'm consoling myself by saying he played an awful lot of football at the end of the year at a very high intensity with very little rest. Sometimes that truly takes it out of a lad, there were periods when Aguero pushed himself similarly, and never quite recovered 100%.

Pretty shit thing to say tho. Go on Ilkay lad. Wow them, lead them, take those youngsters to their destiny of being the new Xavi/Iniesta.

I mean, I have to think that is why Barca have gone for a midfielder because they seem to have the numbers, although that looks different with the CL this year. And Kessie, I am aware, was ruled as a bit of a damp squib

Nah, everyone knows that happened with FDJ and others, but they were being paid massively over the market rate. Apart from FDJ, they were generally hangers on. What you do there is hope they still have some pride to play, and hold the prospect of them not being in the professional squad, or shipped to some uncomfortable place, as your leverage in getting them to take a more reasonable rate.

I mean, lets be honest, there's been no problem paying Lewandoski or Raphina has there? No. Of course not.

Sour grapes are understandable, but not that admirable. And your argument is a swing and a miss. He'll be paid, no doubt about it. Better to send them on their way with best wishes.

I had him in my doghouse several seasons ago but in the last 3 or 4 he's been easily one of my favorites. His silky control and movement and his absolute grace that made it look easy- effortless. Of course the clutch game/ title clinchers he's had don't hurt his legacy.

So long Gundo you absolute hero.
