I was sceptical after the knee injury and got it in the neck from some fellow posters: they were right and I was wrong. Not sure there's any player who's had a comparable impact in a short space of time. Decisive contributions for two league titles and an FA Cup, and a quiet leader. Sad to see him go but the club has judged these moments well in recent years.
