Gundo was probably our best midfielder in the 2nd half of the season but I think there is a need to clear up some squad space. We'll see what happens.

Sadly that's more the sad reality of how poor our midfield was rather than Gundogan being particularly good

He's a squad player, a potentially useful one but hes not elite anymore and that shows in the games against the "better" teams who must run off him

From what I've heard, he will be good enough. Apparently one of the kids teams still is a formation/tactic that he came up with

Would he come back a second time, though? Or has that fairytale gone with this return.

If he turns out to be mustard, hope we’re all over it. Was hoping he’d be able to stick around long enough to transition to the coaching but years away yet.

He’s be mad to leave given his obvious managerial ambitions and closeness to Guardiola.

And as the back end of last season demonstrated, and as I was screaming in his thread all season, if he’s not being flogged to fuck every week he’s still more then good enough to play a role off the bench.

Gundogan was coaching the EDS part time while being a treble winning captain.

Coaching wise he’s levels above Vinny, as much as I love Vinny obviously.

Viera was never going to happen, I thought it was weird at the time the hype he got.

Time for him to quit now and coach 100%
I'm assuming all sports/ football players want to continue playing as long as they can.
Gundogan may be happy to be part of the reinvention of City. Galatasaray may also be an option as they are investing big time and would welcome a player with Gundogans experience.

yeah, he did a online Q&A when he was taking a few sessions with U16s for his B License, he wants to play as long as he can then do the rest.

That's OK for him but we need his playing squad place

A number of teams have brought in veteren experienced player to play and coach the younger players mid game , if he wants to coach and help the kids this is what he should do , and give his senior squad place up to someone who han justify a 1st team slot

The chance of Gundo being registered as one of the 17 non-HG players is pretty minimal. I can't see him staying based on that alone.
