Madrid tried it and failed spectacularly.

Chelsea stabalised and built up over a few years then dominated for two years.

Blackburn stabalised and build up over a few years and then won it.

Dont be daft, nobody can me made to go and play for someone they dont want to, and as pointed out above, hardly anyone plays for their beloved hometown club anymore, unless its the likes of the BIG clubs in europe they were born in to, and thats rare (torres loved athletico, but still moved to liverpool). Money rules the mind these days... and we have shit loads of it.

So chelsea and blackburn both did this out of choice then did they while having billions at the ready?>??? Don't think so.......we find ourselves in a unique position, there are no rules to success in a situation such as ours. We can only TRY!!!

Would you:

A) Like to win the premiership with average players scraping 1-0 victories all season.

or

B) win the premiership in style by a whopping 16 points playing unbeleivable football with some of the worlds greatest players?

Not true. The core of Chelseas was there allready Terry, Lampard etc and they were top 4. Also, I never said sign average players but players who want to come and be part of the cause i.e. Wayne Bridge. I'm not saying he has allways harboured a desire to play for us but he wants to play football, wasnt getting his chance and is quality.

What I dont want is a "superstar" who comes just for a payday or one that comes because his club is greedy enough to make him feel unwelcome and force his hand to accept a deal. If he comes to us its because his situation has become untenable at AC and he has no choice ala Robinho from Real.
