I'm a Celebrity 2022

Suppose most have forgotten Ants little brush with the law over drink driving a few years back that’s been conveniently brushed away
should be called I’m a **** leave me in here

Don't disagree but you got to be a right plank to give him grief and 'chin him' and ruin your career on live TV

I've just said on his specific thread I've have given him a beating. In truth I probably wouldn't have, but the reports I've read about things he's said would have made it hard not to based on my specific experience through lockdown. Playing the sympathy card when he's getting paid a reported £500,000 to be on there. He deserves a kicking, it should come with hero status rather than ruining their career. Jill Scott really should be the one to do it.

He got addicted to painkillers and then booze after a botched knee op iirc. Got the largest fine ever issued for drink driving and a ban and got himself sorted. Not the same as Hancock really is it. Had an affair with a woman who he had appointed into a paid director role on £15-20k a year. Her brother happens to own a company that was given a £28m government contract. He has done countless selfish things in the pursuit of making money, this latest move proving how much of a **** he is. Unfortunately, like with most things these days we're quick to forgive and forget. Ant's issues would have been career-ending once upon a time but society allows you to do whatever you want as long as you say sorry and have an excuse. Granted dyslexia is a weak one but it is one nonetheless.

Why is everyone calling Hancock a c**t but Boy George who was jailed for kidnapping an escort, chaining and beating him up is alright. And Moyles who offered to take Charlotte Church's virginity live on air is seen as a paragon of virtue?
200.000 dead people, that is why

The thing is, Chris Moyles' on-air faux-pas was clearly a big error of judgement, but he was told off, he apologised, moved on, and clearly grew up a bit. I can't remember the last time anyone talked about him, let alone complained about his behaviour on the radio. Everyone deserves a chance to make amends after something like that, and if Johnathan Ross can come back from the voicemail scandal then Moyles should be able to repair his career as well.

The same goes for Ant. He had issues he wasn't taking enough responsibility for. He made a huge mistake that nearly cost lives that weren't just his own, but he was banned from driving and fined £86,000. That was his actual sentence. The more figurative sentence he got was to organise his shit and, by all accounts, it appears he did that. He spent some time with his tail between his legs; he served his punishment as it was handed down to him. We could debate whether he "deserved" to return to a high profile entertainment position but, legally, there was nothing left to do.

As for Boy George, he committed an awful crime against that poor lad but, again, he served his time. Like with Ant, we can debate the length and severity of his punishment, but he was released after four months of a 15-month sentence and wore an ankle bracelet for the next 11 months. Long-term drug use was presented as a mitigating factor in the case and it appears it's a part of his life that he's been able to move on from. He tried to apply for Celebrity Big Brother in 2009 but was turned down, so it's not like he could just force his way onto I'm A Celeb this time.

Now we get to Matt Hancock. He lied about the numbers of COVID-19 tests that had been developed on numerous occasions, he handed out PPE contracts worth millions to personal friends (the High Court found that he had acted unlawfully by doing this) and he awarded massive NHS contracts to a family company he had shares in. It was bad enough that he was lining the pockets of his friends and family with taxpayer cash, but the biggest mistake of all was the decision to release untested hospital patients into care homes during the early weeks of the pandemic. I don't think we'll ever know just how many deaths that decision caused. And then he willingly breached rules that he forced the rest of the country to live under for 18 months.

If Hancock had gone to prison for any of this, or if he'd been tried in any court except that of the public's opinion, then we'd be having a different conversation. Instead he's being paid another £400k, on top of god knows how ever much he stole from the UK taxpayer, to craft a narrative that the only thing he did wrong during the pandemic was to have that affair with Gina Coladangelo, and that he only needs to be "redeemed" and "forgiven" for following his dick. It's all well and good pointing the finger at Chris Moyles, Boy George, Ant, etc. but they opened up about their crimes/errors, paid for them in one way or another, and then carried on.

Nothing of consequence has happened to Matt Hancock, nor will it.

I thought Hancock was going on to champion Dyslexia I’ve not heard anything yet, unless they’ve edited out. Total bullshit and they should all be into his ribs, they should’ve all walked as soon as he came in and see how fast the producers fucked him off there would be no show. However they are all self serving so fuck em all.

I've not been watching so can someone tell me if Jill Scott has cemented her national treasure status by licking some sort of narcotic frog and then bludgeoning the former secretary of state for criminal negligence to a pulp with a giant eucalyptus branch or whatever it is they have over there? If not is it on the cards?

To be fair, that's the way criminal justice used to work before all of the holier-than-thou people on social media demanded that everyone should be punished indefinitely for any infraction.

Hmmm both both ladies of colour out and the bloke of colour was on the edge too last night.

Apparently the public are voting to 'save' rather than evict makes you wonder about the demographic of the viewers.
