Next week.

Easyjet.

Is there anything i need to know that may have passed me by? Particularly worried about getting to the airport and being faced with loads of hidden charges, etc. I know about the 20k luggage limit, but that's it.

Is it just as simple as booking it online, printing proof off, turning up at the airport two hours before the flight with that and my passport?

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

We went with Ryanair for the first time to Tenerife.
The only thing to say is that you get what you pay for,
make sure your bags are underweight.Ryanair were charging
£20 per part kg over.
Also take some food with you, unless you like paying through the nose
for stuff.
Just lower your expectations and you will be fine.
As for your paper work just print it off and take it with you,we took 2 lots
just to be safe.

Turn up late without your passport, then blame everyone except yourself.

Where are you flying from and too? and how long is the flight?
I have flown with most of the budget airlines to games and back over the last 12+ seasons and never been hit for charges, print off your boarding card a day or two before you fly, turn up to the airport (soberish) in good time, go through security in good time and all will be fine (oh, and if you have luggage that you wish to place in the hold, then to the best of my knowledge, online check in is not available and any baggage (other than carry on hand luggage of a set size) should have been done when you booked.

Hope this helps, and also check the airports regulations about what can and what cant be caried through security (water bottles, shower gel, deoderants, toothpaste foodstuffs etc)

Use Ryanair 4 -5 times a year and have used Easijet from Barca a few times. Can't fault them.
If you want to be a smug twat and get a good seat, don't queue up with the riff raff when boarding, sit and wait until the end of the queue then just walk through. The plane aint leaving without you.
A related question. Why do people insist on standing up and queueing on BMI Baby flights when there is a particular seat allocated to you? Is there some sort of contest to see who can get on the plane first? Weird. In relation to the OP's query; you get what you pay for with budget airlines. I use BMI Baby to fly over when I'm going over for a match. Generally your departure gate will be one of the furthest away, you can end up betting bussed from the plane to the terminal building and you'll pay through the nose for any food and drink on the plane. But I'm prepared to put up with that for one hour. Everything else re. checking in, getting to the airport on time has already been covered on here.

I love Ryanair :) Cheap flights, small hassle free airports, unpretentious staff. Just flew to Poitiers with mrs + kids. nice n chilled. £400 all in.

Dont know about easyjet but I weigh bags b4hand tho and if the flight is busy queue near the boarding point at the gate. Priority boarding is pointless.
