I'm fully ashamed of myself....

Funny.... Since Meg put her pics on that City Chicks in Kits Group, she had about 500+ men add her on facebook...

We're always being stopped at matches by fat, middleaged men who say: you're on my facebook aren't you?

lol...

Can't stand it any more, liked it for about a year in around 2007?
Pile of shit.

I like Twitter though

So to summarise, chino wearing, hi-top wearing, middle-aged facebook newbie's are the new gay cool?

As a 44 year old man, in my eyes I've just committed the ultimate sin......I just posted a comment on Facebook.

Was it something as equally as innocuous as the other shite on there?
No macca, it was to right an untruth by a deluded bitter rag FB troll (who i've also confirmed as a "friend" by the way ha ha) Do you post on it, or have been tempted to go on it?

I set up an account some time ago, but never update it or view. Most of my family are now in the States, Canada or Australia so you'd think I would find it useful. Truth is I just find it boring. I really don't need to know what someone is up to on a daily or even weekly basis.
As for my closest friends I can count the only ones that really matter in single figures and I prefer it that way. If I want to speak them I either do it in person, phone or email. I don't want to share my life with people who are really just acquaintances.
My three closest friends are ones I have known for a combined total of 60 years and none of them do Facebook either. I guess it's just about being like minded and that's why the friendships have lasted so long.

I agree with all you say, I wondered what all the fuss was about and after having a look on it I still don't know the attraction. A few of my mates are on it but I find it quite impersonal and anyone can post pictures, videos and any stuff they want about you without permission. I suppose people do enjoy it though and some are addicted to it, so good for them if that's what they're into. I don't think I will be.

It's false too. My cousin moved to Canada about 15 years back and to see her Facebook stuff you'd think everything was wonderful. However, my Aunt sees her quite often in 'real life' and not all in the garden is rosy.
What my cousin posts is what she sees as keeping up appearances.Almost an addiction to wanting everything to look fantastic, for her audience of 'friends.'
I'd rather have the truth than bullshit, and keep the truth within the family and those that really matter.
