Now we are in the final of the FA Cup and 50/50 with spurs for 4th another 3 matches would have been too much for us. Anyone agree?

I agree, but I did love our Europa run this season. Meeting teams like Poznan and Aris was a pleasure and of course the one and only Alan.

Agreed!

I'm not glad we're out of any competition. This FA Cup run has glossed over the poor Europa and Carling Cup campaigns. Imagine if Everton had beaten Reading and then come to City in the Quarters! Laboured victories over Leicester and Notts County with a heavily weakened Villa side to come afterwards.

Will be pleased as punch if we lift the FA Cup, though.

I don't think many football fans outside City realise that City have a relatively small squad and we were in no position to compete in the Europa League on a Thursday, and then the Premiership at the weekend.

At Wembley I glanced at the programme and Utd's squad list was significantly longer than ours.

When Arsenal and Utd play 1 game at the weekend they can change half their players for the next game, and still win. At City, we drop 1 or 2 players and we lose.

Have a look at Arsenal's strength in depth in midfield. You could name 11 top midfielders, and I haven't a clue what their best team is.

no, Id like to have won that too - isnt that the mentality we now need to adopt?

It is probably just as well we are out of the Europa League, but we should have done better in the competition, it is an essential development step for a club before stepping up to the CL.

If we do make the champions league, then we will require significant strengthening. There will be no easy games, and our seeding will be low, so we will have a draw with one of the big teams.

The only reason we are above Tottenham at the moment is because they have been distracted by CL. It is very difficult to sustain a league challenge and compete. Our performance in Europa this season indicates that we are nowhere near being able to sustain CL football.

First off, no matter what I tell you, I'm definitely not a Manchester City fan in any way, shape or form. I never go the matches and never watch the matches on TV. I certainly wouldn't be able to tell you that we only have a squad of 25 senior players like Arsenal do.

City definitely haven't spent an absolute fortune bringing in top quality players to ensure a strong team can be played where absolutely necessary. You know, the likes of Milner and Zabaleta weren't able to play against West Brom in the Carling Cup and only sat on the bench to help make up the numbers. And the teams fielded against Dynamo Kiev were equally poor in order to ensure the next league matches were winnable.

What were you at Wembley for? To spend 90 minutes looking at the opposition's squad in order to be jealous of Little Pea and Smalling? City certainly never seem to play there.
