I now shop at Waitrose

Its sad day in my life when i realised i was no longer working class

So you're saying you would rather stay working class forever?

I never minded being working class, some of my happiest memories are with my Mum when we didn't have much but we always would get by, the same memories and help that made me work hard to get where i am. I wouldn't mind one bit if i stayed working class

really?- f*ck that! maybe you associate the good memories with your Mum with being a bit short of cash. possibly you may have had those memories (or better) if you had been brought up middle class

So are we associating cash with happiness or social standing with happiness?

neither. The point I was making is that the happiness was the memories with your Mum and not the lack of money. What you said made me think that you had those happy times despite not having cash and not because of it ( I hope that made sense!)

I'm working class, although I do earn 80% more than average in my area

I make no qualms about it, the rest are scum.
