I'm sorry Gael.

Absolutely stunning performance that I thought. Very aggressive, winning the ball when he shouldn't have again and again. Got done once by the psg right back when silva left them both isolated one on one in acres of space but apart from that he was rock solid and dependable as almost always. A huge job especially seen as Silva was giving him very poor cover on that flank. Has some very big games in him does gael

With his athleticism and ability to press, I've thought him a very likely "Pep" player for next year. Add the HG factor and it seems a no-brainer. Sign him up, Txiki!

Played well last night, but let's not get too giddy.
City urgently need two athletic full backs who can both defend, and supply the attacking width that Guardiola craves

I hope so, think he's out of contract in the summer.

He's got one more year after this summer.

I agree with the sentiments of the thread though, he was outstanding last night, and has been superb since he came back from injury. He looks stronger, faster and more athletic than ever before. He is excellent defensively and he retains possession very well, particularly in midfield areas.

He might not have the best final ball in the world, but if he's got a decent winger / wide forward in front of him, he doesn't need to have. He can concentrate on defending and let the more talented creative players in front of him concentrate on creating.

Of all 4 of our full backs he seems most suited to Guardiola's game for me. He's quick, athletic, can press, and retains possession well in midfield.

Give him another year at least Txiki.
