Imagine......Last Game of the season

I'm attempting to gain assurances from my West Ham mate that his team will 'throw' the last game now they're safe ;-)

(if only)

they do hate the spuds with passion though so anything is possible (allegedly)

92nd Minute at Upton Park. City are defending a nervy 1-0 lead that will secure the chimps league place. Theres a break on; Ilan is tussling with Toure to reach our area. As Neilsen comes out and grabs the ball Ilan throws himself over him and the Referee awards a penalty!

City players surround the ref in anger and Kompany is red carded for a 2nd yellow of abusing the ref. We are now down to 10 Men and the last kick of the game couls spell the difference between Real Madrid or Real Zaragoza.

Ilan places the ball on the spot, takes a long run up to the penalty spot and smacks the ball hard to the bottom right hand corner, somehow Neilsen gets a finger on it and it bounces of the post to safety and we have another legend to match Dickov,Horlock and Weaver.

How typically City would it be a freebie from the Faroes securing the champs league qualification for us?

Get behind the Lad, we have a enchant for being and supporting the underdog. Long may it continue.

I would say a worse scenario is if the game is 0-0 we need a win to get Champions League & West Ham need a draw to avoid relegation. We get a penalty.

Do we let Tevez hit it??

Spoken like a true City fan.

Knowing us, the real scenario would be much more dramatic.

Good job West Ham are already safe then! (Unless Hull can make up 24 goal difference in two games!)

I think he got a really good run out, and his kicking is much better than Shay's. They're both professional goalkeepers wanting to do well for City, so there isn't any reason why we should be running around for emergency loans. He hasn't made any catastrophic mistakes yet, and he got some good hand work against Arsenal. He looked very comfortable, despite it being his first ever competitive game in England, so we should expect more from him. He might end up being better than Shay, and we could have a gloved hero on our hands here.
